VisionQuest 20/20 is a joint prototype between Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment Technology Center and Childsplay Vision Systems.  It is a short flash game (played with 3D glasses) designed to detect Amblyopia in young schoolchildren.

Amblyopia causes more blindness and vision loss in people under the age of 45 than all other causes combined.  However, amblyopia is completely preventable as long as it is detected early enough.  The goal of VisionQuest 20/20 is to provide a simple but effective method for testing children in the critical 6-9 age range.

The project has come a long way since this initial prototype - you can follow the current status on the VisionQuest 20/20 website.
